Comcast Technology Solutions, the technical services arm of Comcast Cable, is rolling out a newly expanded version of its Live Services product: Live To IP, which aids internet delivery of live streaming video.

The company cited a test by ESM Productions, which used the product to deliver live video of concerts and events across multiple screens. ESM has produced events like WNBA games and Cardi B performances.

While most studies show that consumers still watch live sports on TV sets (either through a multichannel video service or a connected TV device), concerts and other live events are increasingly consumed across multiple devices.

The company announced its new product at the National Association of Broadcasters annual convention in Las Vegas.

Comcast’s Live Services products allow companies to ingest content however they choose (be it via satellite, fiber or over IP), manage and protect it and then distribute it to whatever device the content provider wants to send it to. Linear Rights Metadata Management guarantees delivery, representation and rights to the content.
