Daimler, the owner of Mercedes-Benz, has taken a GBP175m stake in Taxify, the app from the Baltics that is planning to take on Uber in the UK and the rest of the EU,
The Telegraph reports.
The service tried a soft launch in London last year, which it had to end due to licensing issues.
