PayPal has acquired
Jetlore, a prediction platform that uses artificial intelligence.
California-based Jetlore was founded in 2011 by students from Stanford University’s computer science program with the
goal of applying machine learning to the retail market. The company’s proprietary prediction platform is used by companies including Nordstrom Rack and Uniqlo to create personalized customer
experiences.
Team leaders of Jetlore will join PayPal and the AI-technology will be added to PayPal services.
“With Jetlore’s talent and AI-powered
technology, we will enhance and accelerate PayPal Marketing Solutions, adding new capabilities that continue to expand PayPal’s value proposition for merchants beyond the online checkout
experience,” stated Harshal Deo, vice president, commerce solutions at PayPal. “We share Jetlore’s passion for creating amazing and personalized customer experiences and believe
their capabilities will accelerate our ability to help merchants optimize content and communication for their customers.”
