Workers Warm To Artificial Intelligence

Most workers globally want to use artificial intelligence, according to a survey of 7,000 workers in the U.S., Asia and Europe in the Automatica Trend Index 2018.

Most (64%) workers want to use AI for human-machine collaboration and 73% assume that artificial intelligence makes it easier for people to assign the machine new tasks, such as by voice command or touch pad.

The majority of workers globally are worried about how their training can keep up with the pace of the working world, with 64% seeing as positive the fact that robots can help them handle hazardous materials.

About a quarter of employees are convinced that training and development already plays a role in the workplace of the future. In the U.S., 74% expect that robotics automation will provide added motivation to further their training, with most expecting the number of higher-skilled and higher paid jobs to rise in the future with new human-robot teams.
