Norwegian Cruise Line is offering cruises featuring Grammy Award-winner Jon Bon Jovi in partnership with the musician’s vacation company, Runaway Tours, and Sixthman, a creator of music festival vacation experiences.

The “Runaway To Paradise” Caribbean cruise sails from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas April 12-16 on the Norwegian Jade, while Norwegian Pearl will host the Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona to Palma, Majorca on Aug. 26-30. Sixthman is owned by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.

Norwegian and Sixthman have offered cruises with other musicians including Kesha, 311, KISS and Kid Rock.

The cruises will include a full rock show on the pool deck starring Jon Bon Jovi and the 11-piece Kings of Suburbia band, a second acoustic storyteller set where cruisers can ask Bon Jovi all of their burning questions, multiple shows from support artists (to be announced), and panels with key figures from Bon Jovi’s history.

Jon and Jesse Bongiovi’s new wine, Hampton Water rosé, will be featured during the cruises. Other themed onboard experiences will include a Bon Jovi Gallery selling memorabilia and a recreation of the rock star's nonprofit community restaurant, the JBJ Soul Kitchen.

Both Norwegian Jade and Pearl were refurbished in 2017 as part of the Norwegian Edge program. The refurbished ships now offer the appropriate venues to host a musical experience such as this one, says Andy Stuart, president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line.

Separately, Norwegian announced another promotion today that is generating buzz in the media. The cruise line is offering free and reduced airfare to Hawaii from select U.S. cities for travelers who book a 7-day multi-island cruise, with the hotel option of staying one night in Honolulu pre-cruise. The offer is in response to a decrease in interest in the cruise after volcanoes and fires on the island of Hawaii forced a rerouting earlier this year.
