Accenture Buys German Creative Shop Kolle Rebbe

Accenture is acquiring Germany's creative shop Kolle Rebbe to add to its growing Accenture Interactive portfolio. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1994, the 300-person agency specializes in cross-channel advertising campaigns and digital content for clients, including Audi, DAZN, Netflix and TUI Cruises.

Trade publication W&V ranked Kolle Rebbe the seventh-largest independent agency in Germany by revenue, while Horizont ranked Kolle Rebbe fourth on its list of the most creative agencies in Germany in 2018.

In the short term, the agency will continue to operate under its own name, but the plan is to eventually rebrand all agencies under the Accenture Interactive banner, with Hamburg serving as the firm’s creative hub in Germany.

“The advertising market in Germany is undergoing significant change," says Fabian Frese, Chief Creative Officer, Kolle Rebbe. "Clients are increasingly looking for agencies with global reach and a full-service portfolio, from ideation to execution. As part of Accenture Interactive, we will have a stronger impact by blending creativity with strategy and technology to create truly differentiating brand experiences."
