Nordstrom has enjoyed a 97% sales increase year-over-year in the week leading up to Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday, according to analysis by Edison Trends. Walmart has experienced a 67% hike and Target has seen an increase of 57%.
In contrast, Jet.com fell by 57% and bankrupt Sears dropped by 17%. Kohl’s fell by 3%.
The analysis is based on anonymized and aggregated email receipts from purchases by 3 million U.S. consumers.
The research showed that Amazon and Macy’s each saw 25% revenue upticks.
In addition, Best Buy increased by 14%, and J.C. Penney was flat.
