The maker of the YouCam Makeup app has teamed with Ulta Beauty and Cosmopolitan Magazine at CES to introduce a new consumer shopping experience.
Using artificial intelligence and augmented reality, Perfect Corp. created Beauty 3.0, aimed at creating a personalized experience including recommendations driven by product trials.
“Our partnership with YouCam will give us insight about how augmented reality experiences can complement the services we offer in Ulta Beauty stores,” stated Prama Bhatt, senior vice president digital and commerce at Ulta Beauty. “This represents a merging of physical, digital and emotional experiences, especially the ability for a guest to virtually try on hair color, with an Ulta Beauty stylist, as part of their in-store salon service.”
The‘Beauty 3.0 solutions include AI Product Recommendations, AI Smart Shade Finder, AI Skin Diagnostic and AI Live Hair Multi-Color Effects. Cosmopolitan plans to extend the AR experiences to be triggered by pages in the magazine.
