The video technology company Wurl is bringing its AdSpring video advertising solution to streaming connected TV devices.
AdSpring first launched as an ad solution for pay TV operators, delivering advertising within TV programming guides. It has been expanding the offering since then.
The latest iteration is geared toward video producers, allowing them to insert mid-roll ads to linear or on-demand programming, delivered through devices like Samsung Smart TVs, Apple TV and Roku devices.
The SSAI-based solution is turnkey, meaning no new engineering is required on the part of the video producer. It will be priced with a pay-as-you-go model, so producers will only pay for ads inserted using the solution.
By integrating into Wurl’s existing advertising and distribution platform, it mitigates the risk that comes with some programmatic ad offerings. Also, it can generate revenue in a matter of weeks, owing to the company’s existing partnerships and integrations.
