Energy Upgrade California's Earth Day Campaign

With Earth Day just around the corner (April 22), Energy Upgrade California is out with "The Most Energy-Efficient Campaign Ever."  The company collaborated with DDB San Francisco on the effort.

The anchor TV spot features an upbeat tune chronicling energy-saving decisions. Throughout the ad, the screen is darker than usual. The ad ends by noting that the darker screens use less energy than the average commercial.

The statewide campaign also includes social, digital, OOH, print, and radio, all designed to use less space, less ink, darkened screens, and lowered volume. An Earth Day activation with MLB’s Oakland A’s will introduce an energy-efficient national anthem with no microphones, no music, no speakers, and no videos on the team stadium’s jumbotron. Fans, instead, are invited to use their own voices.
