McGarrah Jessee Adds Campbell As Chief Creative Officer

Jason Campbell has been named Chief Creative Officer at McGarrah Jessee (McJ).

Based in Los Angeles, Campbell is part of the Austin,Texas-based agency's mission to build talent via geography.

He most recently served as Chief Creative Officer at Translation and UnitedMasters, where he worked with the NBA, AT&T, Nike, McDonald's and Hulu. He also oversaw Beats by Dre's "You Love Me," the Cannes Lion Titanium-winning campaign that shaped the brand's long-term marketing strategy.

Before Translation, Campbell was a senior creative director at Wieden+Kennedy and Goodby Silverstein & Partners, handling global brands such as Nike, Airbnb, TurboTax, Impossible Foods and Verizon.

“At McJ, we believe in culture adds, not culture fits. There was a real alignment in values — respect for people, for craft and for doing things the right way,” said Upham.

McGarrah Jessee client roster includes YETI, Shiner, Whataburger, Brooks Running and Fender.

“My job is to help bring more people, more perspectives and more urgency into that, so the work can meet the world the way it is now. McJ has always understood people in a very human way, and I think there’s a huge opportunity to take that further,” said Campbell.
