Chase Card Services and InterContinental Hotels Group are partnering with Roadtrippers for a campaign to inspire consumers to go on an adventure beyond their own backyard.
Domestic travel expert Roadtrippers has seen a recent trend of consumers taking shorter road trips, making road-based travel a significant contributor to the trend of consumers choosing to buy experiences rather than things.
With that in mind, “The Great American Statecation" will release multiple regional itineraries that take consumers from well-known landmarks to hidden gems.
To kick off the promotion, the IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card is staging a New York experience for members: playing a five-hole putt-putt course in Flatiron Plaza that will bring to life five road trip destinations. Attendees will be able to play the game and receive giveaways (including IHG Rewards Club points to put towards their own Great American Statecation).
“We are passionate about inspiring Americans to explore the amazing country right in front of them,” said Anuja Gagoomal, head of co-brand partnerships, IHG, in a release. “The IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card enables cardmembers to find the vacation in their everyday by earning points that can be maximized when applied to their next stay at an IHG property.”
The IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card offers 40X total per $1 spent at more than 5,600 IHG Hotels & Resorts and 4X per $1 spent on all other purchases for 12 months. New cardmembers can also get a limited-time 125,000-point offer after spending $3,000 in the first three months from account opening..
