RKD Group, a U.S.-based provider of marketing services, for nonprofits, has acquired Direct Point Group (DPG), a direct-response fundraising agency based in Toronto. Terms were not disclosed.
RKD will gain “capabilities in direct response television production, mid-level donor strategy, gift-giving catalogues, in addition to core direct response capabilities,” states Group CEO Tim Kersten.
DPG will be rebranded as RKD Direct Point. Its founder and president, Duke Smith, will serve as senior vice president of the unit, reporting to Kersten. Smith will also join RKD Group’s executive leadership team.
RKD Group services hundreds of nonprofit organizations, including hospitals, animal welfare and faith-based charities.
