MediaCom Names Its First Global Chief Technology Officer

WPP's MediaCom has named Nadine Thomson as its first global chief technology officer.

Based in London, she is tasked with helping clients take full advantage of the opportunities that advertising and marketing technology offer to drive growth.

Starting on Oct.1, she will lead MediaCom’s global data solutions team, the internal technology team that builds MediaCom’s proprietary tools and systems. She will report to Global Chief Digital Officer Deirdre McGlashan and will collaborate with the WPP and GroupM IT global leadership teams.

“Technology is an increasingly important part of our business, and it’s critical to delivering on our promise to help people, brands and businesses unlock their growth potential,” stated McGlashan.

Thomson has most recently been consulting with News UK and Capita Group on technology strategy and operating models and organizational structures. Earlier, she was group technology director at Conde Nast International.
