NBA Digital, Turner Start D2C TV Streaming Platform Featuring Live Games

NBA Digital and Turner say they are launching the first sports league D2C (direct-to-consumer) platform to feature live games -- NBA TV.

The new sports league platform will include more than 100 exclusive, nationally televised games as well as other original programming and on-demand content.

The price is $6.99 per month, or $59.99 annually.

NBA TV, the streaming platform, will be available on an authenticated basis for fans who get NBA TV -- the 20-year-old cable network -- from a pay TV provider.

This year, Turner's TNT cable network will air 67 NBA games under its "NBA on TNT" moniker.

It is the network's 36th season coverage of the NBA.

In addition to the live games, NBA TV also features coverage and additional live games from the WNBA, NBA G League and NBA Summer League.

The platform will also feature on-demand content -- classic games and other NBA programming, including NBA Finals games from 2000-2019.

NBA TV will offer new viewing technology including new TV camera angles from footage captured on smartphones, live onscreen group chats with celebrity influencers, statistical graphics and social media content.
