Agari Adds BEC Protections, Integrates Tools With Microsoft

Email security firm Agari has added what it calls real-time, threat-actor intelligence to help forestall business email compromise attacks.

In addition, Agari is developing a new integration with the Microsoft Security Platform to provide additional BEC remediation options.

Combined with Microsoft Graph Security, Agari's Continuous Detection and Response feed will provide a threat intelligence platform that can standardize tracking, speed response, and enhance reporting, the company claims.

Agari Advanced Threat Protection is integrated with Office 365. All joint customers will have access to the new capabilities.

According to Agari, its Active Defense BEC threat intelligence data is automatically fed into its Continuous Detection and Response technology.

These moves are designed to help firms fight BEC attacks, including payroll diversion, CEO spoofing and vendor email compromise scams, Agari says.

"BEC attacks plague companies, regardless of industry, location, and size, with losses currently sitting at $702 million monthly, based on figures compiled by the FBI,” states Ramon Peypoch, chief product officer, Agari.
