AT&T has rolled out 5G for consumers in 10 markets nationally.

Service is now available for customers who have a $1,400 Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G and reside in Birmingham, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Providence, Rochester, San Diego, San Francisco or San Jose.

The initial 5G service is for both consumers and businesses, essentially mobile customers looking for better performance.

When outside a 5G coverage area, the new phones will revert to LTE service.

Coming markets for 5G include Boston, Bridgeport, Buffalo, New York City, Las Vegas and Louisville.
