Kantar Names Non-Executive Chairman As Search For CEO Continues

Research and consulting company Kantar has appointed Adam Crozier as Non-Executive Chairman.

Word that Crozier was in talks for a role at the firm was reported last month.

Crozier’s appointment follows the company’s restructuring into a joint venture between Bain Capital, which now owns 60% of the firm, and WPP, which retains a 40% share.

The transaction was completed last December and later that month, Eric Salama, the longtime CEO of the company, announced he was stepping down.

Kantar has launched a search for a new CEO and has indicated that Salama will remain in the post until his successor is appointed. After a transitional period, Salama will shift to an advisory role and join the board as a non-executive member.

Crozier, 56, is the former CEO of the UK’s television network ITV. Earlier, he led ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi.
