Scott Credit Union (SCU) has appointed Cactus as its agency of record without a formal review. The company approached the Denver-based agency after learning about its expertise in sports marketing.
After securing a sponsorship for the 2019 Stanley Cup-winning St. Louis Blues, SCU was seeking an agency with expertise that could leverage the agreement for marketing campaigns.
The sponsorship includes name and likeness usage, placements in the Enterprise Center where the team plays, and exclusive product development.
“By sponsoring the St. Louis Blues, we have a unique opportunity to leverage the team's momentum to connect with fans all across the area,” said Adam Koishor of Scott Credit Union. “We wanted to make sure that our agency partner had deep experience with activating sports sponsorships, and we’re confident that Cactus is the perfect partner to help us move our business forward.”
Cactus brought national attention to UCHealth by leveraging the reputation of NFL great Peyton Manning. With no year-over-year increase in marketing spend, Cactus also helped CommunityAmerica Credit Union generate what the bank called record-breaking membership growth in one of the nation’s most competitive markets by leveraging a sponsorship agreement with the Kansas City Chiefs and their quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
SCU spent $539,000 on advertising during the first nine months of 2019, similar to the amount spent during the full 12 months in 2018, according to Kantar Media.
