Domino’s is launching a new service via
Pie Pass technology that allows customers to order, pay online and skip the line to grab their order.
After ordering through the Domino’s app, customers can check in using the
Domino’s Tracker, which notifies the store to make sure the order is ready on time.
When the customer arrives, their name appears on the in-store digital menu board letting them know
their pizza is ready to be handed to them.
“Carryout customers value speed and simplicity, and that is what they’ll receive with Pie Pass,” said Dennis Maloney,
Domino’s senior vice president and chief innovation officer. “Gone are the days of waiting for your carryout order – now when customers arrive at the store, they’ll be greeted
by name on our digital signage and handed their order. It’s the ultimate VIP carryout experience where customers don’t have to be a regular customer to be treated like one.”
The carryout innovation is being backed by a TV ad campaign featuring Norm (George Wendt) of "Cheers"fame.
