Italian Email Provider Hacked: Report

Email.it, an Italian email provider, has been hacked and data from 600,000 users is now being sold on the dark web, according to CPO.

NN Hacking Group, an alleged hacking group, said in an interview that it breached the company in January 2018 and was able to infiltrate the company’s service and pull data on an ongoing basis, CPO writes.

Email.it refused to pay a “bug bounty.”

NN Hacking group claims that Emal.it has the worst security of any of its targets, CPO continues.

The group offered the data on the dark web for three bitcoins, worth about $20,200, CPO says.
