Wishpond Forms Email Integration With Shopify To Help Ecommerce Brands

Wishpond has teamed up with Shopify to allow Shopify ecommerce businesses to build their email lists, send targeted campaigns and track revenue from Wishpond’s platform.

Shopify announced in April that it was rolling out its email marketing app to merchants worldwide.

The Wishpond arrangement is designed to help ecommerce businesses “grow their audience and leverage customer data to drive sales,” states Wishpond CEO Ali Tajsekandar.

According to Wishpond, Shopify merchants will be able send the following types of emails:

  • Abandonment cart
  • Cross-sell
  • Upsell
  • Welcome/onboarding
  • VIP customer emails
  • Product review
  • Product replenishment
  • Shipping reminders

In addition, users can segment customers and leads based on:

  • Average order value
  • Products added to cart
  • Products ordered
  • Total Revenue
  • Products Browsed
  • Blog and website pages visited
  • The integration seems to indicate that Shopify had been seeking email tools.

It was not clear at deadline whether Shopify had sought this help, or whether these enhancements are being applied directly to its app.

Shopify said in April that Shopify Email, its email app is available in over 20 languages, and that it will be free until October 1 of this year, in recognition of the challenges faced by companies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Wishpond platform also provides:

  • Shopify revenue tracking
  • Access to the drag-and-drop campaign builder Canvas
  • Drag-and-drop editor for newsletters and email drip campaigns
  • Lead tracking and management
  • Access to over 20 lead generation campaigns. These include popups, hello bars, coupons, sweepstakes and referral emails.

Shopify said in April, that its app, which was built using marketing app extensions launched in 2018, comes with customizable email templates, enabling brands to create email campaigns natively inside Shopify Marketing,
