Out In The O.P.E.N.: Peugeot Taps New Omnicom Shop For Global Creative Duties

French car maker Peugeot has selected a newly-created Omnicom agency to be its new global creative agency of record after a review.  The account has been handled by long-time incumbent Havas/BETC, which had serviced the account for three decades.

The new bespoke agency has been dubbed Omnicom For Peugeot Engine, or O.P.E.N. Through the agency the client will have access to resources and talent across the holding company. The agency is tasked with helping to navigate the brand’s digital transformation efforts and international expansion plans.

The car maker retained the Paris office of The Observatory International to assist with the review.

"Empowered by a strong brand heritage, Peugeot aims to accelerate its international development, the digitization of customer journeys, online sales and new mobility usages. O.P.EN is a new agency model that will clearly support us in achieving our objectives with an innovative model,” stated Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO of the Peugeot brand.
