Mobile Location Firm Bluedot Raises $9.1 Million

Bluedot, a firm that provides mobile location services to retail brands, has raised $9.1 million in Series B funding, bring its total financing to $21.9 million.

The round was led by Autotech Ventures. Also participating in the round were existing investor Transurban and new investors Forefront Ventures, IAG Firemark Ventures and Mighty Capital. 

Alexei Andreev, managing director at Autotech Ventures, has joined the Bluedot board of directors. Jennifer Azapian, a partner at Mighty Capital, has joined as a board observer.

In another development, the firm has launched a product called Tempo, that provides brands with alerts when a consumer is approaching. 

The firm maintains that its services comply with GDPR and CCPA .

Dunkin’ claims that Bluedot’s new product is accelerating customer service.

“Having a quicker drive-thru experience not only increases mobile order revenue, but also customer throughput,” states Jack Clare, former chief information and strategy officer for Dunkin’ Donuts.
