Apple TV+ Scores First-Look Deal With Scorsese

Director Martin Scorsese has signed a multi-year first-look deal for film and television projects for Apple TV+.

Scorsese, which has housed his Sikelia Productions company at Paramount since for years, will now house it at Apple, according to Deadline, which first reported the agreement.

In May, Apple won an auction to become the producer of Scorsese’s $180-million-budgeted “Killers of the Flower Moon,” to star Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro. Paramount will release the movie in theaters.

Apple, which has in recent months been pushing hard to offer high-profile original content, already had first-look agreements with Appian Way’s Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Davisson for TV and feature documentaries; Idris Elba’s Green Door Pictures; Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions; A24 and Imagine Documentaries; and kid programming factories Sesame Workshop and Peanuts.
