CVS Health/Aetna is joining forces with agency
MOD and non-profit The Quell Foundation to raise awareness for mental health care ahead of Suicide Prevention Week (September 6-12).
CVS Health/Aetna will be screening the
“Lift The Mask” documentary that showcases six individuals affected by mental illness, with many sharing their experiences for the first time.
The somber piece intermixes
the subjects’ personal stories with stark statistics about mental health and illnesses. The aim is to normalize the conversation and remind people that it can affect anyone regardless of age,
sex, gender or economic status.
MOD wrote, directed and produced the content along with The Quell Foundation. In
addition, MOD overhauled the Quell Foundation website.

MOD CEO John Stanley serves as a Board member for The Quell Foundation and his agency’s services were donated pro
bono. He and his wife, Nina, MOD’s CCO, have made sure one pillar of the agency is a commitment to help remove the stigma that surrounds mental health. Everyone at MOD has donated time to help
the cause.
MOD also designed a commemorative pair of Air Jordan sneakers for Executive Vice President of CVS Health, Karen Lynch. The sneakers feature a custom suede colorway
and laces, suicide prevention branded ribbon, CVS Health heart icon and quotes on the inner soles.
This gift was the brainchild of the Stanleys to produce a physical object that
would signify Lynch’s and CVS Health’s mission. “These shoes serve as a “reminder for her of the positive impact that she’s making on millions of lives,” John
Stanley stated.
The sneakers will be presented to Karen Lynch, Executive Vice President of CVS Health, whose family lost a loved one to suicide.
