French tech company Sarbacane Group, parent of the email service Mailify, has raised $27 million in funding.
The round was led by IDI, a French investment firm
that is putting in almost $10 million.
Founder Mathieu Tarnus remains the majority shareholder.
The firm plans to utilize the
funding to boost its investment in R&D.
This summer, Sarbacane introduced Smart Templates, a feature that enables users to create customized email and newsletter
templates based on a website’s address, the company says.
In April, Sarbacane acquired Datananas, a Paris-based sales automation startup that it claims will
strengthen its position outside France.
Sarbacane’s client roster includes Christian Dior, L’Occitane, Mondial Relay and Warner Music. The firm generated revenue of $13 M in 2019, and is on track to invoice over $16 million in 2020.
Its previous expansion phase was supported by the Ardian Growth fund.
The firm’s U.S. headquarters is in New York.
