Adobe Integrates Shopping Ideas Based On Visual Similarity In Magento Commerce Platform

Adobe has further integrated its Sensei technology with The Magento Commerce shopping platform to provide consumers with a new type of visual suggestion, Adobe announced on Monday.

Magento shoppers will now recommend products similar to the ones consumers are already thinking of purchasing, taking color, shape, size, material and style into account, Adobe says.

This new capability is designed to “work in conjunction with traffic driving channels including email, advertising, social and more,” says Ryan Green, senior manager, strategy and product marketing, Adobe.

Green claims that “as the recommendation is visually driven, the feature can be implemented by the merchant quickly compared to other product recommendation types, which require initial collection and analysis of consumer behavioral data before they can be used.”

The visual similarity future will be generally available to Magento Commerce merchants on December 8, the company says.

Almost 100 Magento Commerce merchants are using the Product Recommendations, a tool that allows brands to offer contextual experiences based on data. Users include such firms as HP, Catbird and Wolf Automation.

Adobe will also add what it calls a Live Search feature for Magento Commerce in the first half of 2021.

Based on AI-driven analysis of shopper behavior, this tool will expand the “ searchandising” capabilities of Magento merchants, Adobe says.

And since Product Recommendations “is a flexible cloud service, we’re also exploring ways to expand where the feature can be implemented, including in email marketing,” Green says.
