M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment NYC has been named agency of record for fitness tracking wearable Whoop following a competitive review.
Whoop, a Boston-based startup raised $100
million in Series E funding in October, which the company says puts its value at $1.2 billion. Investors include NFL greats Patrick Mahomes and Eli Manning, NBA star Kevin Durant and pro golfer Rory
McIlroy.
Earlier this month Whoop unveiled a multi-year partnership to become the official fitness wearable of the PGA Tour.
Saatchi will lead a comprehensive communications
program to boost Whoop's U.S. profile and introduce the brand to new global markets including the UK and Germany. The partnership encompasses strategic global communications, media relations, thought
leadership and events.
