Ecommerce brands planning an email series should know that free delivery remains the top consumer priority, according to Jungle Scout’s Consumer Trends Report Q2 2021.
A whopping 80% of online shoppers expect free shipping when ordering over a certain dollar amount, and 66% want it for all orders. Moreover, 91% expect online orders to be delivered in a week, and 9% on the same day, and 27% on the same day or the next day.
People are planning to change certain behaviors after the COVID-19 pandemic.
For instance, only 26% expect to purchase goods online, compared to 39% who did so during the last 12 months.
And 38% have had enough of cooking at home, although 50% have been doing this in the past year.

There is a similar decline in those who order groceries online — from 30% to 20%. And 29% expect to eat healthy, down from 34% during the most intense period of the pandemic crisis.

Meanwhile, among online shoppers, 32% are seeking pre-owned items, and 44% have bought or sold them in the last year. Among those, 66% have bought or sold pre-owned products via Amazon.
