FCB Inferno Helps Prosthetic Maker Boost Its Profile

London-based FCB Inferno has partnered with fellow UK company, Limb-Art, a design and manufacturing company that produces stylish prosthetic leg covers.

The agency is helping Limb-Art elevate its profile and appeal to a broader audience, especially women.

Limb-Art leg covers are made of high-quality material and constructed with cutting edge designs to help those with disabilities feel proud of their prosthetics. The covers are designed for people with either above or below knee prostheses.

The company was founded in 2018 by former Paralympic swimmer and medalist Mark Williams and his wife, Rachael. Williams lost his left leg at the age of 10 while riding his bike home from school. He went on to medal at the 1988 Seoul Paralympics and 1989 Miami World Championships.

Amy Bland, junior creative at FCB Inferno, approached Limb-Art after seeing the company on Instagram. Soon after, the FCB Inferno project team, led by Bland and joint head of Design, Sarni Strachan, began researching additional designs that felt strong and confident, fashionable, and appealing to all types of women.

They decided on a series of modern prints that matched Limb-Art’s “stand out, stand proud,” brand mantra.

Designs were shared to Limb-Art’s Instagram and Facebook pages, where followers voted for their favorite options. The top-two favorites (which are being produced) include a modern black and white line illustration and one with radiant glass that reflects light when moving.

“When it comes to disability, there is a misconception that you should hide your differences, but Limb-Art stands against this and creates designs that mean people can feel empowered and confident," said  Bland.

“It’s hugely rewarding to see our young talent using their creativity to benefit such an amazing business,” added Owen Lee, CCO at FCB Inferno.
