Accenture Agrees To Acquire Minneapolis-based The Stable

Accenture has struck a deal to acquire Minneapolis-based commerce agency The Stable, which will be aligned with Accenture Song (formerly known as Accenture Interactive).

The 7-year-old agency helps consumer brands build and operate their own digital commerce channels and manage their brand and sales performance across key North American retailers.

Glen Hartman, Accenture Song’s global lead for commerce services says that, “Today, every company is a commerce company.” With the deal, he added, “we will continue to help our clients meet customers where they are, on their terms and reimagine buying and selling experiences."

Chad Hetherington, founder and CEO of The Stable will continue in that role.

The Stable is the latest in a series of acquisitions that Accenture has made to build up its commerce expertise globally. Other recent deals include Businet System and Tambourine, both located in Japan, Openmind in Italy, Glamit in Argentina, and Experity in Brazil.
