Tracy-Locke Appoints Munk Chief Strategy Officer

Omnicom commerce and communications agency Tracy-Locke has tapped Curt Munk as its new Chief Strategy Officer.

He will lead the agency’s strategy and consumer experience planning teams across all of its officers, with primary locations including Dallas, New York, Wilton, Connecticut and Bentonville, Arkansas. He succeeds Carol Pernikar who left the agency earlier this year.

Munk joins from WPP’s VMLY&R Commerce, where he led the innovation and thought-leadership practice.

Earlier, he held senior strategic planning roles at FCB Global, Epsilon and Saatchi & Saatchi X.

The addition of Munk is the latest in a series of management moves by the agency, including a rebranding and “Compelling Commerce” repositioning last month. Last June it tapped Tina Manikas as president.

The agency says Munk’s near-term priorities include developing deeper full-funnel commerce solutions for consumers and brands, helping the agency re-center on its new Compelling Commerce positioning, and building a strategic culture of innovation.
