Converse Welcomes Rapper Baby Keem To Brand's Creative Community

Converse has expanded the roster of its continued “Create Next” campaign, which features emerging voices in music, sports and culture, with Grammy Award-winning artist and producer Baby Keem. 

Create Next was launched in the Fall of 2021 as a way to highlight Converse’s global community of designers and creatives, offering them a platform and the freedom to shape the company’s legacy. 

Keem is the next voice in a community that already includes rapper and producer Tyler, The Creator; professional basketball players Natasha Cloud and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander; Kendrick Lamar’s multi-disciplinary collective pgLang; and pro-skateboarder and architect Alexis Sablone. 

For Keem’s first brand partnership, he will explore multiple dimensions of the Chuck Taylor All Star through his creative vision. He will also partner with Converse on unique experiences with the Converse All Stars, the brand’s creator community that provides emerging talent access to mentorship, experiences and opportunities. 

Keem developed and produced a short film reminiscent of “Frankenstein” that pays homage to his interest in music and the Chuck Taylor All Star, which he has said is “iconic and timeless."
