Email engagement platform Klaviyo has expanded its text services with SMS Assistant, a tool to automate copywriting.

The goal is to help brands step around the time-consuming task of creating ‘the right messaging that is compelling and tailored to the correct audience. “Creating is one of the most time consuming parts of creating a new SMS campaign—and we’re excited to provide a solution for brands and marketers,” Segal says.
The new tool is useful for marketers attempting SMS for the first time, as it eliminates the learning curve for the new channel, the firm says.
According to Klaviyo, the SMS solution allows brands to:
- Select a campaign type out of four choices: Promotion, Product Announcement, Newsletter, Other. The SMS Assistant will generate content using verbiage to match, the company claims.
- Input information about the campaign, including the name of the product (optional) and a brief description of the campaign.
- See results — Users can click “Get Ideas” and the SMS Assistant will generate three messages based on those inputs. Clicking “Get More Ideas,” will populate additional options.
