Social Tech Agency Gospooky Expands Beyond Europe With New York Launch

Gospooky -- a social technology agency specializing in connecting brands with communities -- has launched in New York, marking its first expansion outside of Europe. Jeff Miller, a veteran marketer and former Snap executive has joined the agency’s Board of Directors in order to establish and strengthen Gospooky’s presence in North America.

Over the next year, the agency hopes to build a diverse U.S.-based team, with plans to expand its immersive technology offerings to brand clients like Jeep, Verizon, and more.

Gospooky was founded in Amsterdam in 2016 by teenage entrepreneurs Tim van der Wiel and Liam Tjoa, and has since developed content creation, augmented reality experiences and social advertising strategies for JBL, Snap Inc., Unilever, Amazon Prime Video, Dior, KLM, and others.

Van der Wiel says he and Tjoa chose New York because many of their clients are based there. “We look forward to laying down roots and bringing our approach to social technology to some of the most innovative brands,” he adds.

In addition, Jeff Miller -- who served as marketing director at PepsiCo and founded Snap’s brand studio Arcadia -- will become Gospooky’s first U.S.-based board member.

“I’m excited to advise the Gospooky team as they grow in the U.S. market and beyond,” Miller says.
