Linda Yaccarino Named Chair Of Talent Agency YMU, Will Retain Her NBCU Role


As chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCUniversal, Linda Yaccarino is one of the hardest-working women in the ad business.

Effective today, she has two roles -- her day job at NBCU and another as the new board chair of fast-growing talent agency YMU, best known for representing stars like Paris Hilton, Emily Ratajkowski and Simon Cowell.

"Yaccarino will bring a wealth of industry experience to the role of group chair, working closely with YMU Group CEO Mary Bekhait, who has been boldly spearheading the group’s new vision since stepping into the role in 2021," YMU said is a release announcing Yaccarino's role.

A spokesperson confirmed that Yaccarino's role at YMU is in addition to her role at NBCU, but did not respond to other questions at presstime, including whether Yaccarino is being paid, has equity or options in the 20-year-old, London-based talent agency.

YMU did describe her as "media industry titan," and "one of the foremost visionaries in the media and advertising landscape, and she has been a key architect in transforming NBCU from a legacy media company into a technology, data and content-based "platform" in recent years.

Yaccarino, an 11-year veteran of NBCU, joined the company in 2011, after a 20-year career in Turner Broadcasting's sales organization.
