Tubi, Fox’s free, ad-supported streaming (FAST) service, will host a half-day event for advertisers on March 23 in New York City.
Tubi Connect, the platform’s first conference for advertisers, appears timed to grab the attention of brands and agencies before the hectic upfronts commence -- including, perhaps, touting that Tubi reached a 1% share of total monthly U.S. TV/video minutes in February, qualifying it for debuting in Nielsen's monthly tallies.
The event is designed to show how Tubi’s growth is being “fueled by diverse storytellers reaching passionate fans, and how brands can engage with them creatively, enabled through data and technology." according to the announcement.
Sessions will also cover streaming marketplace predictions, new ways to drive impact in streaming entertainment,
using data to improve campaign planning, and creating content to appeal to different audiences.
Tubi speakers will include CEO Farhad Massoudi, CMO Nicole Parlapiano, Chief Revenue
Officer Mark Rotblat, Chief Content Officer Adam Lewinson, and Senior Vice President of Advanced TV & Partnerships Tyler Fitch.
Tubi’s agency, VaynerMedia, and content partners
including New Belgium (“Voodoo Ranger”) and Bryian Keith Montgomery Jr., writer and director of upcoming Tubi original "Cinnamon," are also set to appear.
Tubi reported 64
million active users and more than 5 billion hours streamed in 2022, up 44% versus 2021. The platform says it now has a library of 50,000 movies and TV shows and more than 200 FAST channels.
