The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has released an updated report on privacy compliance in the connected TV (CTV) environment in light of the shifting state and federal privacy law landscape.
“Project Crosswalk 2.0: Connected TV Compliance in a New Privacy Law Era” builds on the original report by delving into how CTV offers unique abilities to give consumers privacy rights choices, how personal information is processed in CTV advertising, and best practices for state law compliance.
It also explains how the now-outdated Video Privacy Protection Act of 1988 is “snarling” CTV advertising.
