Ford Motor Co. is teasing the Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor ahead of its official May 10 reveal.
The automaker debuted two spots from Wieden + Kennedy featuring the mid-size pickup trucks during the Kentucky Derby on May 6.
A 15-second teaser aired both on screens at Churchill Downs Racetrack and during the NBC broadcast. Also making its debut is the 60-second “Tough is in your DNA” spot, directed by Salomon Ligthelm.
The teaser includes the hashtag #RangerREADY.
The spot features real Ford Ranger owners and influencers who are masters in their respective fields (including fly fishing, overlanding and off-roading) to tell the story of how Ranger equips them to take on all their adventures, while also showing the time, hard work and preparation it takes to become a master at something.

In addition to the two Ranger trim levels featured (XLT + Lariat), the film also introduces the all-new Ford Ranger Raptor to a U.S. audience. The Ranger Raptor is currently available in other markets, but this is the first time it will be available in the United States.
A 4-minute film, also from Wieden + Kennedy and directed by Caleb Slain, will debut on Ford.com/RANGERready and Ford’s YouTube channel on May 10 at 6 a.m. EST.
