Galileo Salame Caters To Americans Bored With Lunch Choices

Armed with survey results showing that Americans crave more lunch choices, Galileo Salame -- in a project put together by Ogilvy -- has culled new recipes from five TikTok food influencers and added five of its own to produce a hoagie-shaped cookbook titled "Panini Possibilities."

Each cookbook page is in the shape of traditional sandwich ingredients -- like sliced tomatoes -- and double as removable recipe cards.

The books, valued at $75 each, will be given away to sweepstakes winners at each influencer’s TikTok page.

Along with the cookbook, Galileo has released results of the “Galileo Sandwich Report” --questions asked last month as part of Big Village’s regularly conducted Caravan online survey of over 1,000 U.S. adults

The report found that 72% of Americans enjoy sandwiches, 55% are bored with their options and crave recipe inspiration, and 32% want more variety in their homemade sandwiches.

Recipes in the cookbook include Salame and scallion cheese, Salame and crisp apple, and a hoagie with Galileo Pepperoni. “Salame”? That’s how San Francisco-based Galileo has spelled its cured sausage products for over 75 years,

The five influencers tapped by Galileo, with links to their sweepstakes posts, are Owen HanSheila Williams, Brian Brigantti, Brittnee Ciara and Cedric Thompson.

To enter the sweepstakes through June 15., consumers are asked to go to one of the posts and comment using #PaniniPossibilities and listing their favorite sandwich recipe.
