TikTok has launched an AI-powered virtual assistant
designed to help brands and creators navigate their “creative journey” on the popular social media app.
“We’ve been working on a model that allows you to converse and
collaborate with when creating for TikTok,” the company explained in a blog post. “It draws information from a wealth of TikTok-focused creative knowledge, providing you with the most
relevant responses for when you're creating ads or videos for TikTok.”
When marketers access “Creative Assistant” in TikTok’s Creative Center via their Business
account, they will find examples of top ad campaigns and best practices in their specific focus. They will also be able to seek help from the assistant for drafting ad scripts.
To receive
help, marketers can copy and paste a series of prompts provided in TikTok’s announcement into Creative Assistant, such as “I am new to creating videos on TikTok. What are some best
practices I need to know before starting?” or “Come up with TikTok ideas for my brand name [name], promoting [topic].”

“You are also always in total control, and have
the option to use, edit, discard or redo the materials,” TikTok said. “These prompts are only suggestions, and you are able to change and tell Creative Assistant what you need help
with.”
In general, Creative Assistant streamlines the same options that were already available to marketers in TikTok’s Creative Center. The ad script generator ––
perhaps the most impressive tool being offered here -- originally launched in June.
