A new multichannel campaign for Uber One just debuted in the U.K. — and it stars Robert De Niro and Asa Butterfield from Netflix's "Sex Education."
The Mother agency did the creative work for "Best Friends," directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker David Shane ("The Board").
The spots, of various lengths, show the two actors riding around London and bonding over simple shared experiences: eating and going places.
The ad is running across TV, BVOD, cinema and digital. The spots are 60 seconds to three-minute formats.
In addition, out-of-home posters will augment the campaign, as will content created by social media influencers that include Pablo Rochat (@pablo.rochat), Dani Ha (@daniverdari) and Dominique Davis (@allthatisshe).
Maya Gallego Spiers, head of marketing UKI at Uber and Uber Eats, said the new campaign, about people who eat food and go places "is just about everyone."
