Building on its continued strong Nielsen results, YouTube will continue to deliver a live advertising presentation -- YouTube Brandcast -- under a new deal during upfront week starting on May 15, 2024.
The event will be held in the David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center during upfront week through 2026.
In 2022, for the first time, YouTube held its Brandcast event during the major broadcast network upfront week.
Nielsen’s most recent results show that in September, YouTube led all streaming platforms with a 9% share of total day viewing for persons two years and older.
The year before, in September 2022, YouTube's share was 8% -- including YouTubeTV, its live streaming platform services, which carries major broadcast and cable networks.
YouTube says 150 million people are now watching the streaming video service on connected TV screens every month. One of its biggest new programming attractions is in securing the highly prized NFL Sunday Ticket package of out of market games, which airs on YouTube TV.
The company claims its core creator-driven content on its platform contributes over $35 billion to the U.S. GDP and supports more than 390,000 full-time equivalent U.S. jobs.
