Havas' latest acquisition, Singapore consultancy Klareco Communications, will become part of its H/Advisors corporate and financial network.
The move strengthens Havas' global strategic muscle in the Asia-Pacific region.
Once the deal closes, the agency will be renamed H/Advisors Klareco. The company advises multinationals and Asia-headquartered companies on some of Singapore’s largest financial transactions. It also handles issues such as cyber attacks.
CEO Ang Shih-Huei and MD Mark Worthington founded Klareco in 2017. They will continue to lead H/Advisors Klareco, while joining the Asia-Pacific board.
Earlier this year, H/Advisors launched in Dubai, then acquired Australian Public Affairs and Cunha Vaz & Associados, Portugal’s leading PR and communications consultancy. It also bought Indian firm PR Pundit earlier this month for its Havas Red network. Since its reorganization, H/Advisors now employs 1,500 people in 23 countries.
Shih-Huei said: "H/Advisors allows us to deepen our core communications offering across corporate, financial, digital and public affairs, and expand our expertise in fast-growing areas such as sustainability and change communications."
