Charter Communications has now followed up on its ground-breaking Walt Disney distribution agreement with a TelevisaUnivision deal -- a multi-year carriage deal that includes the Spanish-language legacy TV network group’s streaming service ViX.
The Charter Spectrum video distribution business will offer a new version of TelevisaUnivision’s ViX streamer -- an ad-supported premium service called “Premium with Ads,” which will be available in the Spectrum TV Select or Mi Plan Latino packages.
The deal also includes TelevisaUnivision’s networks Univision, UniMás, Galavisión, TL Novelas, TUDN, FOROtv, Bandamax, De Película, De Película Clásico, Telehit and Telehit Música.

This follows a similar multi-year deal that Charter made with Walt Disney in September 2023, where Disney agreed to let Charter package into its mostly linear TV network bundle, Disney streaming apps, including Disney+ Basic (its ad-supported streaming option, and, in the next several months, its ESPN+ streaming service.
The Charter deal also includes Disney legacy TV broadcast and cable networks.
Disney+ Basic will be included in the Spectrum TV Select Signature package -- Spectrum’s least expensive bundle -- at $59.99 a month. ESPN+ will also be included in this package.
This Charter-Disney deal also includes future distribution of the entire ESPN cable network programming as a streaming app.
