Brand-marketing agency Grist has launched the first campaign for new client UPrinting — with a nod to director Christopher Guest's cult movie "Spinal Tap."
The campaign, which breaks this month, is backed by national broadcast and digital.
The “Tour Poster” spot, which features a heavy-metal band, demonstrates how the wrong promotional poster size can destroy the group's cohesion — as well as its upcoming road tour.
The band is excited about its new poster — only to discover the printer made a huge mistake: its only 1 inch x 2 inches. One musician is so upset she threatens to "write a love song right now."
UPrinting steps in to save the day because “size matters and so does printing it right the first time.”
Chief Creative Officer Dan Madsen said: “When it comes to your print job, there are a lot of little things that can go wrong. And those little things can have a huge impact.”
Grist, based in Boston, has done work for Hair Club, GPS Trackit and PopCorners.
