Carmichael Lynch has been selected as Korbel's brand and media agency of record.
The remit for the California champagne producer includes strategy, creative, social, media and brand activation. The appointment follows a national agency review.
New work is expected soon.
“Korbel has a unique opportunity to lean into the changing way that people are celebrating today to reach new audiences that may not have the California champagne top of mind,” said Julie Batliner, president, Carmichael Lynch. “We’re looking forward to helping them stand apart from the category through cultural moments showing the less stuffy and more bubbly side of champagne the way only Korbel can.”
Korbel California Champagne is one of the oldest champagne brands in the U.S., established in Sonoma County in 1882. The company says it produces the U.S.' most popular méthode champenoise champagne. Méthode champenoise starts with still wine that has been aged in barrels or tanks for several months or years.
The Minneapolis-based Carmichael Lynch Inc. is owned by the Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. Clients include Red Robin, Bush's Beans, Saputo and Subaru.
