Podcast producers using YouTube will soon have an analytics tool to help them gauge availability across YouTube and podcast platforms and sell simulcast inventory.
Flightpath will announce YouTube Predictive Analytics at the Podcast Movement conference in August.
The new solution apparently answers a need in the marketplace as publishers seek to unify their inventory management tools.
“Our clients have been frustrated with issues related to overselling and underselling their YouTube inventory,” says Sean Howard, Flightpath CEO. “Our new predictive analytics tool provides the level of accuracy they’ve come to expect from the podcast side of their business.”
Flightpath seeks to empower publishers with “the tools they need to manage their reach, performance, and analysis across all emerging media channels,” says Laurie Belleau, chief revenue officer for Flightpath.
The firm points out that more publishers are engaging in simulcast strategies, presenting shows across platforms such as YouTube and Megaphone.

One client that seems a good fit for YouTube Predictive Analytics is YMH Studios.
Flightpath’s new solution “will significantly streamline our media planning process, allowing us to focus on maximizing results for our clients and enhancing our bottom line,” says Alan Abdine, head of ad revenue for YMH Studios.
