Dentsu Reports First-Half Recovery, Cites New Media Business Wins

Citing marked improvements in client spending, as well as new media business wins, Dentsu this morning announced first-half results showing it is well on its way to recovery.

"The second quarter saw a return to growth, with the group reporting organic revenue growth of 0.2% year-over-year," stated President and Global CEO Hiroshi Igarashi, adding, "The group has seen continued sequential quarterly improvement with momentum in our client pitch win rate."

Igarashi emphasized Dentsu's new media business wins in the Americas, EMEA and APAC, which he characterized as "the highest for the past five half years" and said it has also seen a recovery in its pitch win rates in Japan.
